More success for BRAW at the Dunhills Links
Fleming Howden further consolidated BRAW’s position as a brand that golfers can’t get enough of with a successful day at another major event – this time on Day 3 of the famous Alfred Dunhill Links Championships, held at the word renowned Old Course in St Andrews, Scotland.
Making the very most of a fantastic day’s weather, Team BRAW were out and about on the St Andrews links with our iWalker Team, handing out thousands of samples to golf fans and locals alike.
The iWalker team we had at Dunhills made a real impression, with nearly 55,000 spectators engaging with the bar and the brand.
Carl Vitty, General Manager at Fleming Howden, said:
It’s becoming more and more apparent to us that golfers love our BRAW bar, and the brand and tone of voice is really starting to chime with the many different people that we meet at these events.
The feedback we’re getting is that BRAW is seen as the perfect treat for both golfers and spectators. A proper energy boost for those who like to swing a club, as well as an indulgent on-course treat for those who are strolling the course – or behind the ropes watching the action unfold.
We also recently added three more stockists to our distribution network and are getting BRAW into a number of golf clubs across Scotland and the north of England – so it continues to be a really exciting time for us.
Made with the finest oats and barley – not to mention a lot of love – BRAW comes in two mouth watering options, Salted Caramel and Bakewell. It’s packed with flavour and a substantial hearty taste that delivers something very different to most snack bars on the market.
Carl added:
Part of our engagement was a competition that was run in conjunction with our friends at Druids Golf, where five lucky winners were rewarded with a Druids Ambassadors Pack – just for following and liking one of our Instagram posts.
We’ll be running more such competitions in the coming months.
One golfer we spoke to on the day said he usually reaches for a BRAW when he starts to flag around the tenth hole.
Self-confessed Golf Nut John Paisley, 42, told us:
I first heard of BRAW when I was up at the Open this Summer. Since then I’ve made a point of keeping a couple in my golf bag – and when I need a pick me up on the back nine it’s just the thing – it’s got a really solid feel to it.
Mind you, it hasn’t quite stopped my three-putting – but I guess you can’t have everything, can you?
Want more from BRAW? Our love of sport is not just limited to golf. BRAW team will also be up at Murrayfield supporting Scotland and making more new friends at the Autumn Internationals – watch this space!
