Fleming Howden’s BRAW Bar supporting a second Scottish Junior Golf event
Following a terrific Barrie Douglas Foundation Tournament earlier this month, Fleming Howden have sent further consignments of BRAW Bars to sustain the golfers competing in this week’s Foundations Trophy, taking place at Blairgowrie GC.
Reflecting on the Barrie Douglas Foundation event at Strathmore, Spencer Henderson observed:
We had three days of great weather for the 121 players. Scoring was excellent and the overall response to the tournament was fantastic. In the Girls Under 18s Summer Elliot won her third title in a row with a great performance. Dylan Cairns won Under 18s for the boys, 4 quick years after his first national event – which was also the Barrie Douglas Foundation – so it was wonderful to see him coming through as a Junior to win this event. The Under 16s winner was Brodie Cunningham who also broke the course record.

Remarking on the BRAW Bars we sent up to the competitors, he went on to say:
BRAW Bar went down a treat, with the players lapping them up right from the off. When it is as warm as it was and you are using up more energy, it’s great to have loads of nutrition on the course to keep you energised – physically and mentally, and BRAW Bars were a great addition to the event. Thank you!
Looking forward to the Foundations Trophy, Spencer added:
The Foundations Trophy is a joint event between the two bodies that are huge supporters of golf in Scotland – the Stephen Gallacher Foundation and the Barrie Douglas Foundation. Blairgowrie is one of the best inland clubs in the country and the players will be competing on both courses across the 3 days. Huge thanks go to Stuart Wilson, the GM at Blairgowrie – we can’t thank them enough for their ongoing support.
